Utree, which stands for Undergraduate Teaching and Research Experiences in Engineering, has the goal of fostering the professional skills and enriching the research experiences of undergraduates in the College of Engineering at Penn State.
Sponsored by the Leonhard Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Education, Utree recruits talented engineering undergraduates from sections of the CAS 100A for Engineers to become mentors. These mentors then go through training to teach special class periods on communication and teamwork in the College. In addition, several mentors gain valuable experience in undergraduate research positions. |
Speaking ContestThe next Leonhard Center Speaking Contest will be 7:00-9:00 p.m. on September 5, 2018 in Kern 112. Everyone is invited to attend.
